Lend of ice

Stories carved into crystal clear ice are here once again! They have moved from Kranjska Gora to BTC next to Vodno mesto Atlantis / Atlantis Water Park (Ljubljana) and changed their name to the Land of Ice (LEDENA DEŽELA). This time, the stories take us on a journey through time from the Neanderthals to the present. The path through the Land of Ice, which is set in a covered space measuring 200 m² with a constant temperature of -7 ºC, leads past the Neanderthal, Roman legionaries and the Argonauts, into the world of Perkmandeljc and Sleepy Star as well as Martin Krpan and Urška and Povodni mož / Waterman. You will be able to witness the creation of the Nativity scene, which will be finished by Christmas. Naturally, we haven’t forgotten about our younger visitors and those that are young at heart. They can go down a slide made out of ice, sit on one of the ice creatures or sit on the throne and let it transform them into a king or queen.

This year the Land of Ice is even bigger, carved out of an amazing 50 tons of ice. Just like last year, visiting carvers helped. Three Spanish carvers were joined by six Slovenians and together they made sure that your journey through the Land of Ice will be unforgettable.
